So, my friends from the Otacrew wanted to cosplay Sailor Moon. Of course I was on the bandwagon, especially when my good friend ask me to be her Sailor Neptune. How can I reject such a proposal? :-) I am nervous cosplaying this character. I know age should not be a limiting factor for cosplay but I know I no longer look 18, which is the age Michiru was at the end of the series. This will also be my first time cosplaying as a girly girl in a girly outfit and showing off my girly figure. I want to do my character justice. :-P Edit: So...I am pregnant. This so did not happen. :-P

So, my L(R)an Fan costume is finished. And I don't know how I feel about it. Is that a bad thing? :-P Well despite my underwhelming feelings, the experience was awesome and I learned a ton. Like seam allowance is something to always remember when sewing. And really, three yards of fabric isn't a lot. Maybe I'm just disappointed the project is done? My review: I like the paint job. I wanted to make it more like the manga coloring then the anime, so used the artbook as a reference for her hand/feet armor. Mask: I really like, it's one of my favorite parts of the costume. Hood: It doesn't have a cowl, so I'll have to make do with a safety p

Sand some more. Continue sanding, sand again and again... and when you think you are done, sand some more! Well, I found out the hard way that for an outstanding paint job, is a an outstanding sand job. Don't get me wrong, I thought my sanding was pretty good...it just wasn't good enough. Also, the paint I choose for the automail was "Gunmetal Grey" (it was even said as the color for Lan Fan automail on FMA wiki :-P). It's a nice color, but IT SHOWS EVERY MISTAKE I MADE! AHHHH! *sigh* oh well. I've learned a lot through this process and definitely have enjoyed it...I just hope that the camera doesn't pick up ever flaw too... :-P Cosplay Pr
